Police investigating the murder of west Belfast loyalist Alan McCullough have issued a new appeal for information today.

Mr McCullough (21) returned from exile in England last May after apparently negotiating to have the death sentence against him lifted. He fled to England during the internal feud in the UDA.

The UFF claimed responsibility for the killing, linking him to the murder of UDA leader John Gregg and the killing of Protestant man Jonathan Stewart on the Shankhill Road just before Christmas.

Mr McCullough was abducted and killed last month before being dumped in a shallow grave on the outskirts of north Belfast in June.
