Police in the North have named the man found dead in a burning shed at a disused cattle market in Co Derry.

Mr Edward Brian "Barney" McLaughlin (51), from Glenlea Park in Limavady was found dead on Monday night in the town.

Four people were being questioned by police yesterday in connection with the suspected murder of Mr McLaughlin.

Police described the death as suspicious and said it was being treated as murder.

The grim discovery was made when the fire service was called to deal with the burning shed in the derelict market, which was sold for development by the local council just last week.
