Richie Moloney was compensated for his sixth-place finish in Wednesday's four-year-old qualifier with Life Flight when topping yesterday's final qualifier in Simmonscourt with the German-bred import.
The Kilkenny rider, who has been notching up some excellent results in several of the national events, was awarded the highest score of 92.50 per cent with the son of Liberty Life, beating Michael Buckley and Suir Forever, equal third on Wednesday, into second slot in yesterday's decider when scoring 91 per cent.
Master Mexico, which won Wednesday's qualifier for Buckley, has also made the cut for today's Lady Georgina Forbes sponsored final in Simmonscourt, along with Gabriel Slattery and Charles O'Reilly Hyland's Cruising product, Rock Sensation.
This combination, which took equal third in Wednesday's qualifier, joins Paul O'Shea and Dr Noel Cawley's mare, Solerina, whose fourth-place finish yesterday boosted them into the top six when both qualifying scores were combined. Damien McDermott makes up the sextet with Creevagh Ferro.
Lizzie Burcherimpressively headed yesterday's qualifier with the Irish-bred mare, Cushlane Flight.
