Wicklow boss John O'Leary has decided against putting his name forward for another term in charge of the Garden County.

In his two years with the county, the former Dublin goalkeeper has failed to achieve much success. He has cited personal reasons and ongoing business commitments as his reasons for quitting.

Earlier this summer, O'Leary indicated that he wished to spend a further year in charge of the county's senior footballers, but since then he has been asked by the county board to re-apply for his job, and go through the requisite interview process.

Chief in the running to succeed him are Gale Dunne, Peter O'Neill and former Wicklow player Hugh Kenny .
