Northern Ireland's Assembly election campaign was due to move up several gears today as parties planned a number of set piece events around Belfast.
The SDLP is due to hold an event for its candidates and the cross community Alliance Party has also arranged an event for its Assembly election team.
Northern Ireland's Green Party, which is hoping to make a breakthrough, is due to become the first party to launch its manifesto. Green leader Mr John Barry is hosting the launch in Holywood, North Down.
The cross communities Woman's Coalition, which is contesting Assembly seats in north Down and south Belfast, is preparing to activate its new election website.
Sinn Féin also plans to launch its strategy for senior citizens.
The Rev Ian Paisley's Democratic Unionists are due to hold their candidates launch in south Belfast.
The party, which is bidding to overtake Mr David Trimble's Ulster Unionists as the leading unionist voice on November 26th, is expected to argue that they will force a re-negotiation of the Belfast Agreement.
The Irish and British governments, however, have insisted in recent days that despite the collapse of last week's peace process deal involving the Ulster Unionists, Sin Féin and the IRA the Agreement remained the template for political progress.
Last night the IRA criticised the UUP for derailing last week's choreographed series of moves designed to bolster the peace process and warned that there would be no further disarmament until others had honoured what was agreed.
