London - The Cabinet Office Minister, Ms Mo Mowlam, left her ministerial red box unattended on a train in April but denied claims that sensitive documents were on view to fellow passengers, the Daily Telegraph said yesterday. The incident, drawn to the attention of the Conservative MP, Mr James Gray, by one of his constituents, happened around the time that several government memos were leaked, the paper said.

But however embarrassing Ms Mowlam's actions may prove, there was no indication the box was tampered with.
