The former British army major convicted of cheating to win the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" TV quiz jackpot has been found guilty of insurance fraud.

Charles Ingram was convicted on two charges of deception over a house contents insurance policy, a court official said.

Ingram had claimed £30,000 pounds from insurance firm Direct Line after a burglary at his home in 2001 but had failed to declare previous claims when applying for the policy.

The jury at Bournemouth Crown Court cleared Ingram of five other charges. He was released on bail ahead of sentencing on November 21st.
