Media Lab Europe, the European research partner of MIT, has appointed Dr Simon Jones as managing director with effect from October 1st 2003.
Dr Jones is a senior academic & consultant of international standing in the area of computer systems, electronics and IT. Most recently he was Dean of Engineering & Design at the University of Bath.
He is also the current chairman of the UK and Ireland Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers(IEEE).
