Twice European cross country champion Catherina McKiernan will lead Ireland's bid for honours in this weekend's Margate International Cross Country meeting.
McKiernan has been in good form in the build-up to next month's Spar European Championships in Edinburgh and leads a strong Irish team heading to the south coast of England venue.
McKiernan, who ran a solid second in a tough international race in Belgium two weeks ago, will be joined by Rosemary Ryan, who has also been in good form lately.
Sonia O'Sullivan won't compete as she is still at her winter training base in Australia. However, the good news is that she will compete for Ireland alongside McKiernan in Edinburgh next month. It will be the Cobh runner's first time competing in the European Cross Country.
Eight times Irish Inter-Counties Champion Seamus Power leads the men's side and joining him will be European Under-23 5,000m medallist Robert Connolly.
