A man arrested in Limerick as part of a joint Garda investigation with British police into criminal and paramilitary activity has been released without charge.
The man, in his 30s, was detained by gardaí on Wednesday in the Ballinacurra Weston area of the city and was held under the Offences Against the State Act.
It is understood he was questioned about dissident republican activities.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The arrest followed the detention by British police of three men in Lancashire last weekend, one of themwith a Limerick connection.
The trio are now being held in London underBritain's Terrorism Act.
