Two people have been arrested in Co Armagh in connection with suspected dissident republican activity.
A man aged 38 and woman aged 25 were held in Armagh early yesterday. It follows the arrests last week of two men aged 24 and a woman aged 45 as part of an operation against dissidents. Another two men held on Thursday have been charged with possession of explosives and are to appear in court today. One has been charged with possession of items likely to be of use to terrorists.
Also in Co Armagh, a man was shot in the legs during a robbery attempt on Saturday. The man, from Meigh, was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry after he was attacked by men who confronted him at home demanding money. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
