A 26-year-old man was tonight charged with murdering a teenager who fell from the balcony of a ninth-floor flat.

A 26-year-old man was tonight charged with murdering a teenager who fell from the balcony of a ninth-floor flat.

James Murray (19) died after plunging off a communal balcony into an internal courtyard in King Street in Belfast city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect, arrested on Saturday, will appear at Laganside Magistrates' Court in Belfast tomorrow morning.

The victim's body was found at about 6am. He lived at Glendowan Grove in the Lagmore area of west Belfast.

Police launched a murder inquiry following the results of a postmortem examination on his body.

A 22-year-old woman was also arrested and questioned but police said she had now been released unconditionally.

Mr Murray grew up in Dublin but moved to Belfast in September to live with his natural father and partner.
