LONDON - Three Filipina maids were yesterday given permission to sue two members of the Saudi royal family. In hearings earlier this year, the maids alleged Princess Latifa Aziz alSaud, sister of King Fahd, and her husband, Prince Khalid alSudairy, mistreated them while they were working at the royal couple's home in Wimbledon, south London, in 1994.
Two of the women claimed they were imprisoned in an attic with little access to food while the royal couple holidayed in France. The third claimed she was beaten when she fled the 40room mansion to seek help. The Saudi royal couple deny the claims and contend the case falls under Saudi law.
