Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan Mahon has revealed he would like to stay with Ipswich after opening his account in the win over Bradford on Saturday.
Mahon, on a three-month loan from Blackburn, said: "It is always great to score your first goal, it is the best feeling in the world. I don't score an awful lot so when I do it is a big bonus.
"The team worked really hard and we were great defensively. The lads were magnificent at the back. We created lots of chances but just didn't convert them. But thankfully we kept a clean sheet."
Mahon added he would have no hesitation in staying at Ipswich if the opportunity arose.
"If I was still at Blackburn I would probably have been out shopping as I would not have been involved on match days," he admitted. "I am really enjoying my football and that is all that matters at the moment. The set-up at Ipswich is first-class. They have everything and it is a great club to be part of.
"I would love to stay but we will have to see what happens in December. First and foremost I want to be part of the team that keeps winning."
