Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan received some welcome news today after Gary Longwell and Anthony Foley were back participating in full training ahead of their final Pool A game against Australia in Melbourne on Saturday.
Also in the mix when O'Sullivan selects his starting XV on Thursday will be late replacement David Wallace, who flew in as cover for the injured Alan Quinlan.
Ireland have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Cup but that will not stop O'Sullivan wanting to get one over on the host nation.
"We have at least two games left in the tournament and the second game is the one we want to win," said O'Sullivan to BBC Online.
"But we still want to give a big performance against Australia because a win over them would give us different quarter-final opponents."
