The shop run by Ms Bernadette Sands McKevitt in the Long Walk Shopping Centre in Dundalk was closed yesterday and there has been contact between her solicitor and the company which owns the centre. It is understood that when Ms Sands McKevitt arrived at the centre yesterday morning, papers were handed to her and she left the building.
A short time later her solicitor, Mr James MacGuill of MacGuill and Co, notified media outlets that Ms Sands McKevitt and her partner, Mr Michael McKevitt, would be taking legal action against various sections of the media and reporters should not approach his clients.
Meanwhile thousands of people are expected to take part in a peace rally in Dundalk at 5 p.m. today.
