Chelsea have completed the signing of West Ham's highly rated teenage right-back Glen Johnson for a fee of £6 million.
The 18-year-old has joined on a five-year contract and is due to fly out to Italy immediately to join the rest of the Chelsea squad at a pre-season training camp.
The England under-21 international, who spent time on loan at Millwall last season, has only made a handful of Premiership appearances but impressed enough to be brought to the attention of Chelsea's new billionaire owner Roman Abramovich.
Johnson becomes the first signing of the Russian's Chelsea revolution although a host of other names, including Republic of Ireland international Damien Duff and Real Madrid midfielder Geremi, are expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge before the start of the new season.
