A body found off the Tel Aviv seashore a week ago is that of British suicide bombing suspect Omar Khan Sharif, police sources said today.
Following DNA tests carried out in England, it was established the corpse was that of the accomplice of Assif Mohammed Hanif who blew himself up and killed three other people at a busy seafront pub on April 30th.
Israeli police said they found Sharif's body on May 11th after searching for the suspect since he vanished from the scene of the bombing outside Mike's Place, a busy sea-front bar.
He was believed to have fled after failing to set off his own bomb.
