English police and fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire which ripped through a 14-storey block of flats in Nottingham.
The blaze prompted emergency services to send out an alert for two Sea King helicopters to join the effort to rescue residents.
The fire scorched the exterior of High Cross Court, in Clifford Street, Radford, Nottingham, and caused extensive damage to more than 60 flats.
Police and firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus searched for residents feared trapped inside for several hours, but confirmed this evening that all were accounted for.
Three people suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation were taken to the city's Queen Medical Centre after flames broke out on the fifth floor of the high-rise council block at around 1pm. Others suffering smoke inhalation were treated at the scene.
Two helicopters were despatched from a base on the east coast to the area, but were not required to assist in the evacuation of about 100 people.
