Occupation: Administration manager, Medisec Ireland. Medisec provides medical indemnity and advisory services for GPs.
Personal/family: Married to Michael, mum to three-year-old Morgan.
What figure from the world of medicine/health do you most admire?
Hy Browne, my father-in-law, who has been the first point of contact for any medical query for myself or my family over the past 20 years - and the only person I know who holds the accolade - the Order of the Two Niles, from Sudan.
What other career might you have chosen?
The music business has always been of great interest to me and there were times when I thought it might have been my chosen career when I was younger.
If you were appointed Minister for Health, what would be your first priority?
Appropriate funding for the educational and care requirements of children with special needs.
Do you have a phobia/what is your greatest fear?
Wasps, bees, mice, moths - should I continue? I really need to see someone about this! My greatest fear would be something happening to Morgan.
Have you ever been a patient and were you a good one?
Suffice to say my relationship with needles and drips would not be a great one.
What three books would you bring to a desert island?
Lord of the Rings, Fairy and Folk Tales of Ireland edited by W.B. Yeats, Book of Irish Times Crosswords (Simplex).
Have you a fail-safe method of dealing with stress?
A long walk with some great music for company.
What is your favourite TV or radio programme?
I currently love the music series Other Voices, Songs from a Room, need to hear/see a news programme daily.
If you did not live in Ireland, where would you choose to spend the rest of your life?
San Pedro in Spain for the fabulous people, beaches, food and gloriously laid-back pace of life.

No.
Who or what makes you laugh?
Top of this list would by my three year-old-son Morgan who makes me laugh out loud on a daily basis, Michael, my siblings, Billy Connolly, Spike Milligan and Stephen Fry.
