Paris - The former head of France's biggest cancer charity was sentenced to four years in prison yesterday for embezzling millions of francs donated for cancer research.
Jacques Crozemarie (73), the founder of the giant Association for Cancer Research, was also fined Ffr 1.5 million (£180,000).
Crozemarie, who pleaded innocent, was found guilty of misappropriating between Ffr 200 and 300 million donated to the society.
