PARIS - Gunmen thought to be Muslim guerrillas have abducted two teenage girls on their way to school in Algiers.
The Algerian newspaper La Tribune said the girls, aged 16 and 18, were abducted on Tuesday in Bouzareah, a Muslim stronghold on the northern edge of the Algerian capital.
Attacks against schools, teachers and students have been a frequent feature of Algeria's five year old civil strife.
