A district court has ruled a garda who was charged with viewing child pornography can remain anonymous.
Judge David Anderson said any application to lift an order granting the garda anonymity would have to be made to the President of the District Court who had initially granted the garda anonymity.
The garda is charged with allegedly viewing child pornography at the Garda Headquarters in the Phoenix Park.
