Four Liverpool fans were stabbed after they travelled to Rome to watch their side's Champions League match against AS Roma, it was reported today.

None of the fans was believed to be seriously injured, and there were no other violence reported after the goalless draw, according to Italian news agency ANSA.

Three of the fans were stabbed in the leg before the Group B match kicked off and were treated by paramedics.

Another fan was stabbed in the leg in a city-centre clash after the final whistle. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are believed to be minor, reports said.
