Three men were killed in a crash when their car was in collision with a lorry in Co Tipperary last night.
The driver of the car and two passengers died at the scene while the driver of lorry was treated for minor injuries in South Tipperary General Hospital.
The crash happened shortly before 11pm on the northbound carriageway of the N8 Cashel to Dublin road.
Gardaí in Cashel have appealed to the public to help identify the three men.
A spokesman said the men are aged in their 20s, of slim to medium build, dark-haired and may be eastern European nationals.
The car they were travelling in is a blue four-door Volkswagen Passat, registration 99 D 89487. Witnesses are asked to contact Cashel Garda station at (062) 75840 or the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-600-111.
Separately, an elderly woman died and her 86-year-old brother was seriously injured in a car crash on the Strokestown to Elphin Road in Co Roscommon yesterday.
