A Dublin family has appealed for the public's help in tracing a 21-year-old man who was last seen in the Temple Bar area of the city in the early hours of Saturday.

Richard (Richie) Wellwood from Rathmines is described as

6' 3'' or 6' 4'', well built with brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black-and-white Nike top when last seen.

An appeal issued by the Wellwood family said Richard came into the city centre from the UCD students' bar on Friday night, March 10 th. He went to Club M in Blooms Hotel.

Gardaí have established that Richard was last seen in Westmoreland Street outside Abrakebabra at 3.37 am.

"After the nightclub closed Richard became separated from his friends. Based on CCTV pictures he walked down Fleet St. onto Westmoreland St. and turned left towards O'Connell Bridge between 3:30 and 4am on Sat. 11 thMarch," the appeal states.

"From this point we are asking for help in tracing his movements. If anybody remembers seeing him at any stage that night or has seen him since then please could they contact Pearse St. Garda station on 01 6669000."
