Six-times champion jockey Kieren Fallon claims allegations that he is involved in race-fixing are a "complete joke".
The rider, together with weighing-room colleagues Fergal Lynch and Darren Williams, plus trainer Karl Burke, was arrested and later bailed yesterday as part of an
investigation co-ordinated by City Of London police.
"I haven't got in involved in anything. I make enough money through my percentage of prize money, riding fees and stallion rights," he told the Daily Mirror.
"The whole thing is a complete joke. I've done nothing different to what I have done over the last few years. It's not in my nature - I've never done it and I never will.
"Obviously I've left myself a bit more open than I should have sometimes. I should have been more careful but that's the top and bottom of it."
"We all know you can't fix races. It doesn't happen. It does in a fairytale world but not in the real world."
