An Bord Pleanála has upheld a decision by Wexford County Council to refuse planning permission for a major residential development in Enniscorthy.
Mr Edmund and Mr Charles O'Reilly-Hyland had been refused permission in March for 100 residential units along with a crèche they had proposed for a 7.45-acre site, 1.5km north-west of Enniscorthy town centre.
The proposed development would have featured 80 mostly three-bedroom houses and 20 apartments in five blocks.
In refusing the planning application, the council decided the development would be premature pending the development of a second link road from the Moyne Road to the regional route R890. Such a development would cause a higher volume of traffic on the Moyne Road.
They also said it disregarded the provisions of the Wexford County Development Plan 2001 and the Enniscorthy Town and Environs Development Plan 2001.
