A major festival of children's and young people's literature will be held in Derry next month. The Open Book Festival, which will last for three days, is being organised by the Verbal Arts Centre. It will be launched at 11.30 a.m. on Monday, March 3rd. Up to 12 well-known writers will give readings in Derry's Central Library and children from a number of counties as well as those who live locally will be involved. The library will also be mounting a wide-ranging display of children's books, including examples of the colourful work of Irish illustrator PJ Lynch.
