This Saturday a conference on Travellers, the Media and the Classroom will be held in Ardilaun House Hotel in Galway, as the spring conference of the Association of Teachers of Traveller People. Michael D Higgins TD will give the opening address, and others speakers include Michael Lally, chief editor of Nuacht TnaG; Ellen Mongan, a teacher and town commissioner, and Maura Brennan, co-ordinator of Refugee Support. Five different practical-oriented workshops will run during the afternoon.
