UCC Science Faculty public lecture series 2003 - 2004:Prof Bob Devoy of the Department of Geography, UCC, will give a lecture entitled "Climate Change - The Story" at 8 p.m. in the Boole IV Lecture Theatre.
Cork Institute of Technology Parents' Evening:
Cork Institute of Technology is hosting a parents' evening tomorrow from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. in the Theatre and Exhibition Centre at the CIT in Bishopstown.
The evening will cover issues relevant to parents of senior-cycle students including CAO application procedures, course structure at CIT, CIT supports, services and facilities for students.
There will also be a Science Focus, where young science graduates will share their experiences.
Parents will have an opportunity to discuss course queries directly with staff of the various departments.

Inservice education for teachers:
St Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Dublin, runs a lecture-workshop free to primary teachers on November 10th. Prof Kathy Hall of Leeds Metropolitan University will speak on the topic of "Listening to Children Read". Christmas arts and crafts:
The St Nicholas Montessori Teachers' Association is running a Christmas art and craft workshop for teachers of children aged three to 12 years. It will take place in the Metropole Hotel, Cork, on November 8th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Limited places. Non-members welcome.
