A day of action against cutbacks in the education sector will be staged all over the country today.
Sinn Féin is holding pickets and protests at 25 venues nationwide, in town centres and outside Government Ministers' constituency offices.
Dublin TD Aengus O Snodaigh said the party will not tolerate, or stand idly by, Government decisions which it claims will destroy the education infrastructure.
"The actions are part of the campaign to stop the education cutbacks," said Mr O Snodaigh.
"It will include pickets on the constituency offices of Government Ministers and protests, petitions and information stalls in towns and cities across the state."
Protests will across staged in Dublin, Donegal, Louth, Laois, Offaly, Meath, Cork, Clare, Sligo and Galway.
