Dutch police have arrested more than 80 English fans after fighting broke out before Newcastle United's Uefa Cup match against Breda.
It is understood many of the people arrested over fighting betweeen English and Dutch supporters are neither fans of Newcastle nor Breda, and police suspect the match may have been hijacked by hooligans from Rotterdam and London.
Inspector Willem Van Hoedenck told BBC Radio 5 Live that 87 English and seven Dutch fans had been arrested. Most remain in custody.
He said: "English fans and Dutch football fans were together drinking beer but then there were problems."
