Dublin traffic incident leaves boy critical

Gardaí are today investigating a serious traffic incident in Dublin last night which left a young boy in a critical condition.

The incident occurred at the junction of the Five Lamps on the North Strand Road at around 9.30 p.m.

The young boy was knocked down by a vehicle and is currently being treated in the Mater Hospital. His condition is described as critical but stable.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses in particular they are looking to speak with any motorists who passed through the area between 9.30 and 9.40 p.m.
