Shelbourne lost their chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Eircom Premier League this evening after losing 2-0 to Derry City in the Brandywell.
Two goals in the space of three minutes from Gareth McGlynn and Ciaran Martin secured the points for Derry despite the home side being without skipper Eamonn Doherty and Liam Coyle.
McGlynn opened the scoring from 18 yards before Martin slotted past from Steve Williams in the Shelbourne goal to double the score and bag the three points.
