Dessie Dundon (20)
Hyde Road, Limerick.
Two previous convictions.
16th April 2002 - Found guilty on one count of assault causing harm and was imprisoned for 15 months, the last six months of which were suspended. That sentence was in respect of an assault on a garda who had gone to Dundon's house to retrieve stolen property. Slash hooks and concrete blocks were used during the assault.
7th February 2002 - Convicted of larceny and was sentenced to nine months in prison.
Christopher Costelloe (20)
Moylish Avenue, Ballynanty Beg.
31st January 2001 - Dangerous driving, sentenced to six months in prison and disqualified from driving for 10 years.
27th March 2001 - Aggravated burglary, four years suspended. That sentence was for an incident which took place at the home of students. The students were assaulted and one threatened with a knife. A laptop computer was taken.
27th September 2000 - Criminal damage and assault, 10 months.
27th September 2000 - Public order and criminal damage, four months.
18th March 1999 - Assault causing harm. Costelloe is a single unemployed man, the eldest of six children.

James McCarthy (24)

Has 14 previous convictions, most of which are for motoring offences. They include two counts of driving with no insurance and one count of failing to produce insurance.
However, he has also been convicted twice for the possession of controlled drugs.
21st March 2001 - Possession of drugs for sale or supply, four months in prison.
McCarthy is unemployed and has a partner and two children.
