Sean Cleary remains in a critical condition in hospital with severe head injuries following a fall at Galway on Sunday.
The 22-year-old apprentice is in intensive care in the neuro-surgical unit at Dublin's Beaumont Hospital.
"There's no change in Sean's condition. He remains critically ill," said the Irish Turf Club's medical officer Walter Halley today.
The 5lb claimer was initially taken to Galway University Hospital after the accident before being transferred to Dublin by helicopter.
Cleary was riding All Heart for Paddy Mullins in the seven-furlong Corrib Oil Auction Race when his mount clipped the heels of another runner and fell about half a mile from the finish.
Athlone-born Cleary first spent three years with Jim Bolger before joining Pat Flynn in County Waterford, where he has been for the past two seasons.
Meanwhile, there was better news for fellow apprentice Helen Keohane who was knocked out during a fall at Leopardstown yesterday. Keohane will remain in St Vincent's Hospital under observation for the next couple of days but is understood to be making a full recovery.
