Bogota - A powerful car bomb exploded killing at least seven people and injuring 26 others early yesterday in a residential neighbourhood in northern Bogota, Mayor Enrique Penalosa said.
Officials said at least 80 kilograms of explosives were placed in a red Mazda pickup truck and detonated by remote control outside a busy shopping mall.
Meanwhile, seven Colombian journalists were kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebels who invaded an area in the northern department of Cesar, the army's press office said yesterday.
