Eric Elwood, who missed Connacht's memorable win over Llanelli at the weekend, is back in the starting line-up for Saturday's Celtic League clash against The Borders.
The inclusion of Elwood is one of four changes made by coach Michael Bradley as he continues to rotate his squad as Connacht bid to build on what has been an excellent start to the season which has opened with four out of five wins.
The other changes see Wayne Munn, Shane Moore and John Fogarty come into the starting XV while flanker John Muldoon and scrum-half Conor O'Loughlin are called up to the replacements bench.
Meanwhile, Leinster coach Gary Ella has delayed naming his team for the trip to face Cardiff Blues as he waits on medical advice on his injury-hit squad.
While John Lyne and Gordon D'Arcy have already been ruled out, Ella still has injury concerns over five other players and is not expected to name his team until tomorrow evening.
