A BOOK analysing the causes of the present economic crisis and the need for reform of the political system will be launched at the MacGill Forum this Thursday.

Several contributors to the 2010 MacGill Summer School such as ESRI professor John Fitzgerald and Irish Timeseconomics editor Dan O'Brien will take part in a debate at the public forum at the Royal College of Surgeons.

One session will focus on Ireland’s economic future and another session will deal with reform of the political system and public service.

Reforming the Republic, which is a book based on the proceedings of the 2010 MacGill Summer school, will be launched at the forum.
