All-Ireland champions Armagh will welcome back Kieran McGeeney, Oisin McConville and Ronan Clarke for this weekend's SFC first round qualifier away to Waterford.

However, Joe Kernan's side, who suffered a shock Ulster Championship defeat at the hands of Monaghan, will still be without All-Star defender Andrew McNulty who is continuing his rehabilitation from a dislocated shoulder.

Armagh captain McGeeney, one of the driving forces behind their championship winning campaign, had been expected to be fit for the Monaghan clash but a long-standing hamstring injury, which has now cleared up, kept the centre-back on the sidelines.

Clarke has shaken off the shoulder and groin problems that kept him out of the match in Clones while McConville, a substitute last month, is back to full fitness.

The teenagers are both involved in their Leaving Cert exams and Limerick manager Dave Keane is believed to be ready to rest the duo for the clash with reigning champions Waterford.
