A 38-year-old man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a colleague in Dublin has been given a nine-month suspended sentence by the Central Criminal Court.
The jury found him not guilty on November 9th last of raping the woman he claimed he had consensual sex with, but then found him guilty of sexual assault on her in the same incident.
Mr Justice O'Sullivan suspended the sentence on condition the defendant keeps the peace for two years.
The man denied raping the then 20-year-old former work colleague on June 4th, 1999 in Dublin city centre.
