Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Expect delays in Ballsbridge tomorrow, Friday and Saturday during the 'Off the Rails Live' fashion extravaganza in the RDS.Works on the Quality Bus Network on St Stephen's Green South; motorists from Leeson St keep left for Cuffe St and veer right to go on around the Green.
Fingal Co Council has works on Old Airport Road near Kittyhawks, Santry, and Collinstown Cross. Single lane traffic in both directions - some delays.
MEATH: Works on N3 from slip road for Clonee to turn off for Dunboyne. Roadworks each weekday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Expect delays today outside Navan town on the Kingscourt Road (R162) which is just off the N3 from Dublin and N51 from Drogheda, as there are races on at Navan Racecourse.
KILDARE: Pipelaying continues in Monasterevin on N7 between Hazel Hotel and Corcoran's Garage, daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; temporary lights; northbound traffic diverted at Emo through Portarlington, Rathangan and Naas; diversion also at Abbeyleix, through Stradbally, Athy, and Kilcullen; southbound traffic diverted via Naas, Rathangan, Portarlington and Emo or via Kilcullen, Athy, Stradbally and Abbeyleix.
WICKLOW: Diversion for northbound traffic on N11 at the Tap Pub daily, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will come out at Beehive pub and continue on N11; southbound traffic not affected.
KILDARE: Pipelaying continues in Monasterevin on N7.
WATERFORD: Works in Ballybricken. New one way system in place. Some delays likely as motorists get used to this. Diversions well signposted.
CORK: South Main St closed from Liberty St to Washington St as part of main drainage works. All traffic approaching Washington St from North Main St or Castle St will be diverted via Liberty St and Grattan St. Maylor Street is closed until Friday.
LIMERICK: New layout on N7 out of Limerick after Finnegan's Pub at Newport-Thurles junction. Signposts in place; layout in place as part of Limerick Southern Ring Rd works. Old Windmill Rd (from Lower Gerald St and Upper William St) diversion in place; local business and residential access only.
KILKENNY: Works on N25 at Glenmore between New Ross and Waterford in Co Kilkenny - from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Traffic lights and single lane traffic, delays expected.
TIPPERARY: Works continue on the N7 between Gooig (county boundary) and Birdhill. Traffic control measures in place and delays are expected.
OFFALY: Sewer laying works on N62 in Ferbane, delays expected. Traffic on N62 north- or southbound divert at Ballinahown and Cloghan.
WESTMEATH: Temporary lights from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Clonmore Rd. Delays expected especially at peak times.
GALWAY: Works on Father Griffin Avenue from the Father Griffin Road towards the Crescent. Lights are turned off as a result.
MONAGHAN: Works on N2 for the laying of a sewer. Width restricted to one lane, and the works will move in stages of 50 metres and cause delays for northbound traffic.
