DUBLIN: Essential works for LUAS, restrictions from St Stephen's Green South to Cuffe Street. Traffic from Leeson Street diverts via Hatch Street and Harcourt Street, traffic from Baggot Street diverts via Earlsfort Terrace, Hatch Street Upper and Harcourt Street. Expect major delays, especially in rush hour.

KILDARE: Resurfacing continues, diversions at end of dual carriageway on Dublin side of Kildare town on Old Dublin Road. Traffic reduced tosingle lane. Reduced speed limit of 30 mph, so allow extra time for journeys. The works are part of the Kildare by-pass and the layout will be in operation until approximately mid October.

MEATH: Roadworks on N2 between Kilmoone Cross and Ashbourne. Temporary lights, and traffic is one lane.

WICKLOW: Roadworks on N81 from Blessington to Lamb's Cross. Care is needed with the works.

WEXFORD: Works on N11 south of Ferns, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., temporary traffic lights. No diversions, but traffic will be affected, so allow extra time for your journey.

LIMERICK: Works on Dublin Road between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. at Clare Street until Friday October 17th.

GALWAY: Section of Ballymoneen Road Upper in Knocknacarra near Barna Woods closed to traffic. Diversions in place, but local access will be maintained.

LAOIS: Roadworks on the Mountmellick Road, half a mile outside Portlaoise. Traffic is down to one lane, temporary lights. Alternative route from the town through Knockmay and Ballyfin Roads to Mountmellick. Temporary lights 24- hours a day, seven days a week.

OFFALY: Sewer laying on N62 in Ferbane, long delays expected. Traffic using N62 north or south should divert at Ballinahown and Cloghan.

WESTMEATH: Roadworks on N6 half a mile west of Kinnegad, on M4/M6 Motorway project. Flagmen in place, expect minor delays during rush hour.

WATERFORD: Roadworks on Old Kilmeaden Road. Expect minor delays at peak times. Temporary one-way systemin operation since Monday September 8th at The Causeway, Abbeyside in Dungarvan. Traffic only permitted along The Causeway towards Abbeyside from the Devonshire Bridge. Parking prohibited. Traffic diversions will be signposted.

CAVAN: Temporary traffic lights six miles outside Cavan town on Dublin Road - causing problems in rush hour.

LONGFORD: Major works at junction of N4/N55 in Edgeworthstown. Allow extra time as they cause delays at peak times.
