DUBLIN: LUAS works continue in the Church Street, Queen Street area but traffic is now down to one lane on Queen Street. This will last until about the end of May and has been causing big delays during morning rush hour, especially for traffic through Stoneybatter, Prussia Street and Manor Street.

The second West Link Bridge on the M50 is due to open in September. Works linking the new bridge with the original bridge and the M50 are expected to commence next weekend, with temporary arrangements over the next few months. A leaflet on the arrangements is available at toll booths.

Road sweeping is taking place on the N4 from the Oval to Leixlip Bridge on hard shoulders and overtaking lanes from 10am to 4pm until next Friday.

The Ordnance Rd Survey Rd in the Phoenix Park is closed for about the next month for drainage and resurfacing. The closure is from the Mountjoy junction to the Knockmaroon junction from Monday to Saturday between 9.30am and 4pm. Diversions are signposted and drivers are asked to stick to these routes. Some motorists have passed the road diversion barriers but there is no through access at all on Ordnance Survey Rd during these works.

Two new roundabouts are being built on Blanchardstown Road North at Dolly Heiffernan's and at Kilshane Rd junction. Expect long delays. A stop-go system is in place from 7.30am and 10am and from 4pm to 6pm. Temporary lights are in place from 10am to 4pm.

Temporary traffic lights, single-lane restrictions and roadworks are in place on Greenhills Rd between Airton Rd and Old Tallaght Rd from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm until about October. There will be delays on the Greenhills Road from the Airton Road junction to the Old Tallaght Road. When the works are completed, the Greenhills Rd will be extended to meet the junction of the Tallaght Bypass. Expect delays.

The Adamstown Rd is closed from the N4 junction to the Lucan/ Leixlip Rd junction at Courtney's Pub until Thursday, April 17. Diversions are in place with local access while these flood alleviation works go on.

WICKLOW: On the N11, the speed limit has been reduced from 60mph to 40mph from north of the Bee Hive Pub to end of Newtown Bypass. This is until completion of the Ashford- Rathnew bypass.

MEATH: One-way traffic is in place from 8pm to 6am, Monday to Thursday evenings, on Dunshaughlin's Main Street on N3 for the foreseeable future. Traffic from Dublin will be diverted at the Blackbull Crossroads (Trim turn off on the Navan Road, N3) and then through Batterstown.

KILDARE: Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the Sallins Rd in Clane until early April. Lights will be in place 24 hours a day. Roadworks are from 8am to 6pm daily.

CORK: New traffic measures are in place at the southern end of the N8 at Glanmire. The right-hand turn off the existing N8 into Glanmire is closed to public traffic until about mid-June. Traffic is being diverted via the old Dunkettle roundabout and back into Glanmire. There is a new 30-mph limit in the area. Approach the area with care.

In Cork city centre, Pembroke Street and Crane Lane are closed until at least mid-April for main drainage works. Diversions are in operation and no major delays are expected.
