Lusk: A new phase at Dun Emer near Lusk is being released, reports Justin Comiskey.
Another 30 houses at the Dun Emer development in Lusk are being launched this weekend by Hooke & MacDonald with prices starting at €225,000.
Dun Emer, where over 150 homes have been sold to date, is near the village of Lusk. The scheme is a mixture of townhouses and detached homes within easy reach of a range of retail, leisure and education facilities. Two-bedroom townhouses with 74 sq m (800 sq ft) are priced from €225,000. Three-bedroom houses with a floor area of 107 sq m (1,150 sq ft) start at €255,000, while four-bedroom semi-detached houses of 125 sq m (1,340 sq ft) cost from €324,000.
Transport links to Dublin have improved recently with the upgrading of the M1. Lusk railway station is about a mile away, and the site is also convenient to Dublin Airport and the M50.
Designed by architects Fenton Simons, the dominant themes at Dun Emer are space and light. The development has been extensively landscaped with lots of open space and village greens. Traffic calming measures have also been installed, increasing the safety of cyclists and pedestrians.
Standard features at Dun Emer include gas-fired central heating, fitted kitchens, fitted wardrobes, cobblelock driveways, double glazing and decorative ceiling cornice with centrepieces.
In addition to the restaurants and pubs in Lusk village, residents at Dun Emer can also benefit from the seemingly endless miles of sandy beaches in the locality. Dun Emer is the latest scheme from Dwyer Nolan whose previous developments include St John's Grove near Naas, The Maples in Clonskeagh and Mornington in Drogheda.
Four new showhouses at Dun Emer are open today and tomorrow from noon to 2 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
