Shopfront: Dulux has put together a leaflet called Editions that has Irish accessories designer Orla Kiely and British handbag designer Bill Amberg helping those who want more than an all-white room to pair one colour with another.

Actually it's more like how to put 10 colours together because the four "moods" illustrated give plenty of different options.

The room scenes are: modern comforts (think raspberry, cream, stone), urban (mauve, steel, blue), global cultures (cobalt, ochre, copper) and tranquil (lavender, plum, jade). It's a handy way to find designer-approved combinations.

Also included are nuggets of wisdom from Kiely and Amberg on burning issues such as "how to make your home a haven of tranquillity" and a few style short cuts like painting stripes on a wall to define space. A coordinated home awaits.
