Co WicklowJoint selling agents Hooke & MacDonald and Remax of Wicklow town are launching a second phase of eight large houses at the Avoca Wood development in Avoca, Co Wicklow, with prices from €480,000 to €530,000.

The eight homes being released in this phase - an initial phase of 15 units sold quickly last year - are good-sized four, five and six-bedroom houses ranging in size from 182 sq m (1,960 sq ft) to 200 sq m (2,156 sq ft).

When completed, Avoca Wood will total just 28 houses with an extremely low density of just two houses per acre.

Set on a sloping site that overlooks and is close to the village of Avoca - made famous the television series Ballykissangel - the low density means that all homes at Avoca Wood come with large gardens and the development also benefits from extensive open space, including an attractive stream running through the site.

The improving road network, such as the upgrading of the N11 to dual carriageway standard, will reduce commuting times to Dublin.

The developer, Cleary Doyle, has included many extras as standard at Avoca Wood and the spec on offer - including qualify fitted kitchens - in each of the six house styles at the development is top-notch.

Recent schemes completed by Cleary Doyle include The Gallops in Naas, The Ramblings in Wexford and Glencove in Courtown Harbour.

A showhouse will be open this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
