Lifestyle Sports has acquired another two shops - one in Galway Shopping Centre and one in the Laois Shopping Centre, Portlaoise. The company currently has 32 shops in the Republic and seven in Northern Ireland and is looking for further outlets. Lifestyle Sports was the subject of a £12 million management buyout from ABF, which also sold the Quinnsworth/Crazy Prices group last year for £630 million to the Tesco Group. Lifestyle has taken a 1,540 sq ft store in Portlaoise at an annual rent of £30,800 and a 2,000 sq ft unit at Galway Shopping Centre at an annual rent of £38,500. Both are on long-term leases. Jones Lang Wootton, which advised Lifestyle on the buyout and expansion programme, says it is currently seeking further well-located outlets in towns and cities in the Republic and the North for the same client.
