SalesResults: Tudor House, a large detached house on over half an acre in the centre of Dalkey, fetched a price in the region of €3 million at auction yesterday through Sherry FitzGerald.
Three parties chased the property, which is one of the most unusual homes in Dalkey.
Run as an upmarket guest-house in recent years, the eight-bedroom house dates from 1843 and has been extensively refurbished by the current owners.
At around 557 sq m (6,000 sq ft), the three-storey house has a large drawingroom leading to a conservatory, a big country-style kitchen and a study.
While the address is Castle Street, Dalkey, Tudor House is accessed via a laneway and long driveway leading off the village's main street.
